The execution of the renovation work of this emblematic hotel in the capital was carried out by the construction company Fernández Molina Obras y Servicios, which specializes in interventions in historic buildings in the center of Madrid.
Last March, one of the most historic hotels in Madrid reopened its doors: the English Grand Hotel (Las Letras district, Madrid). The hotel chain Hidden Away Hotels has led this exciting project in which the construction company Hidden Away Hotels has participated. Fernández Molina Works and Servicesa company specializing in restoration of historic sites in the center of the capital.
The new Gran Hotel Inglés retains its identity and its link with the city of Madrid despite the great effort that has been made to modernize it. This five-star hotel has 48 rooms furnished in the style of the 1920's. This work of adapting the old trends to the sensibility of our days has been the work of Rockwell Group. Lobo 8 Restaurant is in charge of the gastronomic offer on the first floor of the hotel.
The renovation work took approximately two years and cost 16 million euros. The 72 rooms prior to the intervention have been converted into 48 with the aim of guaranteeing maximum comfort and full guest satisfaction. There are six different types of rooms and six luxury suits: Junior, Meller, Breton, Echegaray, Presidential and Royal. In addition, the hotel has all kinds of facilities available to its visitors, from gymnasium to reading room or meeting rooms, among other exclusive spaces.
The engineering study for the renovation project of the Gran Hotel Inglés was carried out by International Hospitality Projects and the execution of the concept development and interior furnishings was the work of Crazy Contract y Gaston and Daniela.
