The Innovation Gallery will have a thermal energy utilization project
The Innovation Gallery at GENERA 2017 will feature an Eneres project. It is the intervention at the Moratalaz sports center. The project consists of the use of the thermal energy contained in the wastewater network for the air conditioning of the Municipal indoor swimming pool.
The project seeks to take advantage of and recover the thermal energy contained in the wastewater network collector near the Moratalaz Municipal Sports Center to provide part of the thermal energy used in the generation of DHW and heating of the heated swimming pool throughout the year. The objective is that the energy required in the cold focus of the heat pumps is provided by an exchanger installed in the existing sewage collector in Valdebernardo Street. The exchanger provides water in optimal conditions for the operation of the heat pump heat generation system.
The initiative has been chosen for its contribution to the development of renewable energies and energy efficiency. Thirteen other projects will be exhibited together with Eneres in the Innovation Gallery, which aims to support the scientific and technological research work of both public and private organizations and the activity of companies in the sector.
The jury that selected the projects for the Innovation Gallery was made up of experts, professionals and representatives of the sector's main associations. The criteria they have followed for their decision have been: the degree of innovation, its energy efficiency, its applicability and its ability to positively influence the progress of energy efficiency and renewable energies.
